- ¼ cup salted butter, melted
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons flour
- ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- Hot fudge topping
- Vanilla ice cream
- Chopped nuts
Preheat the oven to 300°F.
Mix the melted butter with the sugar. Whisk in the egg and the vanilla extract. Add the flour and cocoa powder and stir until they are just combined.
Pour the batter into 8 ounce mason jars, filling them about a ¼ of the way.
Bake the brownies until they are set, about 15-20 minutes. Let the brownies cool.
Top them with a heaping tablespoon of hot fudge (not heated) and fill the remaining portion of the jar with vanilla ice cream. Top the sundaes with chopped nuts if desired. Serve them immediately or freeze until serving time.
